Brock's Parasite

This parasitic mite was found in a snake muscle that Brock was dissecting. It is stained with FM 1-43, 4 uM in snake ringer solution. It is alive but immobilized under a cover slip while being scanned with a Biorad MRC 1024 using a 20x objective.
