BIOGRAPHY:

Adam is an exceptional, prize-winning guitarist who is establishing himself as a champion of contemporary Spanish composers.  Adam has commissioned 30 Spanish composers from four generations to write new works dedicated to him.  In 2012, Adam signed a four-CD recording contract with Naxos to document all of these new pieces.  The first recording, “21st Century Spanish Guitar, Vol. 1” was released in May, 2013.  Already, the disc is gathering critical acclaim: Kenneth Keaton in American Record Guide wrote, “Adam Levin’s playing is superb – with no technical difficulties, lovely tone, wide range of dynamics and articulation … I can’t imagine [these works] played with more conviction, expression, and sheer joy.” Chris Morgan of Scene Magazine (UK) wrote, “Levin demonstrates why he is considered one of the world's foremost guitar virtuosos, as well as a thoughtful scholar and creative visionary." The recording was reviewed and selected by MusicWeb International as a "Recording of the Month." Critic Brian Reinhart wrote, “These composers could not have asked for a better, more thoughtful and dedicated guitarist to premiere their works.”

In August 2013, Adam was on the cover of Classical Guitar magazine.
